Who Are These People?
MIKE: The fearless leader of our radio family, Mike's a San Diego native who grew up in the farming community of Yuma, Arizona. He's a proud holder of the Arizona FFA State Farmer's degree AND still fits in his FFA Jacket from high school. When he's not in the huddle at the radio ranch, you can find him unwinding with some Madden 08 (he's a Chargers fan) or working out. APRIL: Born and raised on the Eastern Shore, April is our "local yocal." April loves singing, RV-ing, biking at the beach, and spending time with hubby Denis and little ones, Stephanie, 7 and Van, 5. April was Mrs. Maryland in 2001 and continues her pageant career by supporting the Miss Delmarva Pageant and running her own production company. She's active in the Girl Scouts as leader for Brownie Troop # 211. She believes her house is haunted, lives next door to her parents, and does a pretty good job of keeping Mike in line during the show. John's interest in movies began at a very early age, dad taking him to see the Roger Moore as James Bond thriller LIVE AND LET DIE in June 1973 set the stage, from there he was fascinated. With his farewell on American Idol's Season Finale, we found out that Simon is more sugar than spice, and here's the definitive prook. A 5 year old girl's dying wish was to sing for Simon Cowell at Britain's Got Talent Competition. He granted that wish. Bethany and family went back stage and she performed "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" for the judge who listening intently and shared tea with her. She went on to say it was the best day of her life. We've heard of "starting young" but this is ridiculous. A toddler thought to be between -4 years old was caught on video recently downing a beer at a Phillies game. Phillies fans are known for some wild antics, but this might be pushing the bar a little. The unidentified child almost looks like he's there alone with no one paying attention. Poor little guy. Times are tight but it seems like everyone is asking for a little more - especially when it comes to service. Yes, the old tip jar is starting to pop up in places you would have never expected it; like drive thru windows. Really?
Friday, Mike went to lunch with a friend at a walk up deli counter. This was the kind of place where you ordered at the counter, took a seat, and your meal was served. When he went to pay the check, he didn't leave a tip for the server - because he figured it was part of "their job." Now he's being accused of being "cheap."

April's already decided what her next career move will be. How do you get a job as the pony patrol in Assateague? April and her family hit the beach this weekend, and saw a couple of pony patrol roaming about the island, and it seems as their main job is to just keep track of where the ponies are moving. Let's see...spending the day outdoors, riding a bike on a beautiful island with wildlife, the beach within your reach...sounds like a dream come true...as long as "pooping scooping" isn't in the job description.

A giant sinkhole caused by the rains of Tropical Storm Agatha in
Guatemala City, pictured on Monday. More than 94,000 people have been
evacuated as the storm buried homes under mud, swept away a highway
bridge near Guatemala City, and opened up sinkholes in the capital. It looks like something out of James Cameron movie, or was photoshop'd by the geeks in accounting, but sadly, this is real!
