Keith Urban will be one of the celebrity guests performing the season finale of American Idol Wednesday night! "I think this year in particular has been one of the best for American Idol," Urban says. "There are (and were) some truly gifted vocalists. The Rat Pack episode was the best, across the board."

CLIFF DISSES COUNTRY
Friday 05-15-2009 7:14am ET
Ex Cheers alum and Travel Channel man, John Ratzenberger, filed a restraining order against his exgirlfriend recently because, according to him, she listens to country music. Okay, there's a bit more to it than that but that's sort of what it
boils down to. Reportedly she told him that "it is common in many
country western songs for women to set the cars of their former
boyfriends on fire" and because of this statement he feels she's a
danger to him.
DATELINE: TAYLOR SWIFT
Friday 05-15-2009 7:06am ET
Coming soon on that stalwart of investigative television journalism, "Dateline NBC," a special episode titled "On Tour With Taylor Swift." Look for it on Sunday, May 31 as NBC News goes behind the scenes with Swift's world-changing "Fearless" tour. Shot over three weeks and on three continents, the program will also feature video diaries shot by Swift, plus an in-depth interview of Swift and her mom by NBC reporter Hoda Kotb. Later, you'll get a glimpse of Swift's bus, dressing room and [gasp!] a crew meeting. Not coincidentally, Swift will perform on NBC's "Today" show on Friday, May 29, part of the Today Show Summer Concert Series.
BIG KENNY'S A GIVER
Friday 05-15-2009 7:04am ET
He goes by the name of Big Kenny, and apparently his overall bigness includes his heart. Yesterday the other half of Big & Rich dropped by Mt. View Elementary School in the Nashville area and donated 20 new, custom-made Guild acoustic guitars to the kids. It was just one part of Big Kenny's total donation of 140 guitars to five local schools. All the guitars have Big Kenny's trademark "Love everybody" on the back, with "Big & Rich" on the front. In today's Tennessean, Big Kenny called yesterday's experience with the kids "better than Christmas."
HOT COUNTRY HUNKS
Friday 05-15-2009 7:02am ET
Gosh, that sounds like one of those really annoying Facebook surveys -- and don't think it won't show up there soon. To study for that brain teaser, pick up tomorrow's (May 15) People magazine and check out the special "Country's Hottest Guys" theme issue and choose from 11 dudes, who each were assigned a catchy nickname by the magazine. For example, Tim McGraw is "the great romantic" (funny, I always thought of Faith's husband as the luckiest man in America); Keith Urban is "the heartthrob," while Kenny Chesney is "the heartbreaker." Other male hotties include Brad Paisley, Luke Bryan, Trace Adkins, Jack Ingram, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, Chuck Wicks and Josh Turner.
