 Happy to be here!
Being a jock on Froggy 99.9 is right where I belong. And there's something special about how close I feel to the people listening overnight. Folks are up and listening to country radio for a lot of differnet reasons...maybe you're on your way to an over-night job yourself. Maybe you are a truck driver just passing through or maybe you just can't sleep. I love the idea that maybe through playing the best music being recorded today and the ones we can't forget from yesterday...and just talking to you and imagining who you are, that I might be able to help out a little.
Let's see...I hate house cleaning, mean people, tail gaters, alarm clocks and liver. I love a clean house, nice people, letting someone else drive, sleeping in and almost every kind of food except liver.
I've lived here on Delmarva for about 15 years and I feel very much at home. Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama I'll always be a Southern girl at heart. That makes living here and working for Froggy a perfect match. We should all be so lucky to love coming in to work and looking forward to what we do. I hope that you have that in your life too.
My husband Bob and I along with our drummer Barry Williams and bassest Jeff Davis have a rockin' Country band called CherryBud. My husband plays fantastic lead guitar and sings harmony with me. We're lucky to have our drummer Barry. He is such a natural player and he is family to us. You should hear his Slingblade impression...very funny. Jeff Davis is a popular bass player with a lot of the bands in our area and we are happy to have the chance to work with him as well. I sing lead and play rhythm guitar. Sometimes I put a little flute on a few songs. Come see us at one of our shows.
I love my work here at Froggy and the people I work with. Brian Cleary, Sandra Lee, Lee Moore, Mike and April...are all gifted and sincerely nice people. I love my husband, his parents, his sons, my cat and beautiful Delmarva. So keep listening and we'll keep getting to know each other! |

Happy Monday! Lets Set A Goal....

Let's Rock It This Week!
I hope you had a great weekend and are ready to conquer the world this week. Today would be a great day to set one goal for this week that you can make happen by Sunday. My goal is to lose three pounds by Sunday. I'm 5'8" and I've been hovering around the higher end of the normal weight range for someone like me for about five years now. I really hate it because I've always taken being skinny for granted and now I'm not so skinny. So by our summer work party at Jolly Roger in Ocean City in July I want to be at my goal weight. I've been on NurtriSystem for a week this Wednsday and I really like it! I lost 5.5lbs in the first week! And no, they are not paying me a dime to say this! I just want you to hold me accountable! So next Monday I'll give you an update.
If you set a goal this week and achieve it by Sunday please email me at savannahwest@froggy999.com so I can brag about you on the air! And succeed or fail I'll report on my own goal of losing three pounds between now and Sunday. Wish me luck!
