A new survey by Lending Tree reveals that 15% of shoppers admit to stealing at the self-checkout. Other findings:
- 69% of consumers believe self-checkout contributes to easy shoplifting
- 19% of men and 12% of women have purposely stolen something while checking out
- 24% of parents with younger kids have shoplifted
- 18% of six-figure earners say they’ve stolen at a self-checkout
