It's "Nesting Party" and you're invited

Woman Throws "Nesting Party" Instead Of Baby Shower

The New York Post says an expectant mother recently hosted a "nesting party" instead of a baby shower. Attendees arrived with vacuums, dusters, and mops to help prepare her home for the baby's arrival. The woman's loved ones were even given a list of household chores that needed to be completed. Guests were asked to help organize cupboards and closets in lieu of bringing gifts.

The mother of three says, "I don't like baby showers. I don't like being the center of attention. I don't like playing dumb games. I just don't. So, I told my best friend that instead of her planning a baby shower for me, she could plan a nesting party for me, where we can just get things done. We got so much done, and it just made me feel so at peace in my own home. And[it was way better than a baby shower."
