Fly A Kite Day

Depending on what the weather's like where you live, today might be a good day to go fly a kite, literally. February 8th is National Kite Flying Day. As far as we know, kites can be traced all the way back to China in 470 BC. And in case you're wondering about the world's largest kite, Guinness World Records says that was flown by a man in Kuwait in 2005. His kite measured nearly 84 feet long and more than 131 feet wide.

Thank goodness we live on Delmarva, since we have most "good kite flying days" every year.
